Mission Statement

Pardon our dust. America's Cup Update is an ongoing passion for the sport that has held sway over me for the last 30 years. My hopes for the site is create an archival database for all you 'Cup lovers to visit...and you're out there! My own experience comes from my coverage of the sport in the 1980's with 12-Meter Update and Longitude 122. I am a bit of a pack rat and I have hundreds of boxes of collected materials and information on the America's Cup. What you will see from this site is an ongoing commentary and hopefully an open forum for discussion. Anyway, enjoy, if you find us and if so pass the word. Mark Reid
